After a 2-1 defeat at Home Depot Center, New York Red Bulls has ended a very difficult 2011 season. We hope to see the technical team go further faster when they return in 2012. As far as Thierry Henry, we all hoped for him to raise the MLS Cup, but we learn how difficult and challenging any activity in the USA is. We hope for the team to present various categories of improvement for the next season:

The mental game

Several players need to improve as far as passing the ball correctly, avoiding unnecessary penalty kicks, making other players comfortable, avoiding excessive complaints with the referee, and learning to get along in the best possible way. Working with mixed emotions, such as the desire to win vs. the anger produced by a bad, compromising pass from a peer and lead to mental errors, as it happened a couple of times. Using mental intelligence accordingly could prevent unnecessary penalties as in the Beckham's call for a penalty from Miller, which finally occurred.

Heart Playing and Motivation

Many games were played at full speed, while in some games the team looked unmotivated and letargic.

Strategic Planning

The Technical team lead by Hans Backe needs to assess their opportunities and revise the lack of consistency by sector, meaning the goal keeping team, the defense, the midfielders, and the attack, and how they all come together as a team.

Thirst for Winning

There is a need to attain for wins than just 11 wins in 37 games played, and 10 out of 34 in the regular season.

My English means suggests that an outstanding team makes at least half of the points disputed in the season in any tournament.

Mixing Expertise with Youth

The interaction of seniors players, such as Thierry Henry, Joel Lindpere, Jan Gunner Solli and Frank Rost, and Bouna Condoul among others, with young players like Juan Agudelo, Corey Hertzog, Alex Howarth, and others, can lead to better playing.

Improving Reserves

Having good reserves means not only building the team of the future, but also have good players ready to play in emergency scenarios.

Double Teams

Having so may international players members of their respective national teams makes it a requirement to have a significantly good player to replace that player when called by his national team at any time. This was fundamentally a key factor in poor team results for about two thirds of the 2011 season. While replacement players were good, their coupling and cohesion by sector and with the entire team, just lead to many ties and just a few wins.
Many trade changes made in a short time also affected the team continuous integration.

After losing my iPhone 3GS at Red Bull Arena, my team also lost its ability to win. Every time I recorded a prelude to a win, it actually happened. I hope that someone some time returns it to me. So I hope I continue to record other "pre-game preludes to a win" in the same way next year.

The All-star team that actually played a very good game as well, in spite of the result, was somewhat naive and nervous in the beginning. Bekham was definetely their best player, while individual game prevailed for the rest, which did not allow other players to shine too much, in particular, Thierry Henry, who played only the first half and was heavily tackled and controlled by several players at one time. Red Bulls iront avec l’équipe presque complet quand ils jouent ce samedi face à FC Dallas, ce qui ne sera pas un match facile, au moins, sur le papier. D’abord, les fans n’espèrent qu’une victoire, ce qui pourrait permettre aux Red Bulls de regagner la tête de la Conférence de l’Est à la MLS.

Notamment, l’attractif de ce jeu sera certainement la présence de Frank Rost comme guardien titulaire pour la première fois à Red Bull Arena. Et, en principe, il est difficile de croire qu’il vient de recevoir quatre buts dans le jeu face à Colorado Rapids. Cela ne veut pas dire qu’il n’a pas bien joué, mais plutôt il faut faire du crédit à Nyassi de Rapids mais aussi y compter les erreurs défensifs de Red Bulls, en particulier, ceux-ci de Mendez et de Ream, qui ont été malheuresement très lents dans la ligne du fond. Alors, le manque d’une stratégie defensive consistente commence à faire un mauvais effect sur les résultats de l’équipe.

La semaine passée quand j’ai eu l’occasion de voir Uruguay à la Copa América, moi, j’ai eu l’impression qu’il y a eu quelque chose de pareil a ce jeu-ci de Red Bulls. Par exemple, Uruguay jouent avec une ligne de trois au fond, renforcée par une ligne de quatre qui montent et descent au milieu terrain, les circonstances du jeu considerées. De la meme façon j’ai vu Red Bulls jouer un 3-5-2, mais ces matchs-la ont été des shoutouts et pas nécessairement victorieux, en particulier, le jeu où ils ont été éliminés face à San José l’année passée.

Ce jeu-ci va aussi mésurer l’index de rendement stratégique de Red Bulls et de son directeur technique, Hans Backe, avant du jeu des étoiles la semaine prochaine.

Notablemente, el atractivo de este juego sera la presencia titular del golero Frank Rost. Y, en principio, es difícil de creer que le hayan hecho cuatro goles en el partido anterior ante el Colorado Rapids. Red Bulls will go with their almost complete team to play FC Dallas this Saturday, which will not be an easy game, at least, on the paper. Indeed, the fans expect just a victory, which will allow the Red Bulls attain the first place in the MLS Eastern Conference.

Remarkably, the greatest attraction will be the appearance of Frank Rost as starting goalkeeper for the first time at Red Bull Arena. And, it principle, it is hard to believe that he received four goals in his last game against the Colorado Rapids. This does not mean that he had played a bad game, but rather that we should not only give credit to Niashi of the Rapids, but also admit the Red Bulls defensive errors; in particular, those by Méndez and Ream, who were too slow in the back line. Thus, the lack of a congruent defensive strategy begins to reflect in the team’s overall results.

Last week, when I watch Uruguay play, I got the impression that there was something similar to the Red Bulls’ style. For instance, Uruguay play a three-men line in the back, which is enforze by another four-men line that moves up and down as needed, the game circumstances permitting. Similarly, I have seen the Red Bulls play a 3-5-2, but those games have not necessarily been victorious; in particular, that where they were eliminated by San Jose last year.

This game will also measure the strategic effectiveness index for the Red Bulls and their head coach, Hans Backe, just before the all-star game next week.

New York Red Bulls and Portland Timbers played a very exciting game, where Red Bulls strategically controlled the first half, and somewhat inconsistent on the second half. The referee and the line judges were also starring actors in the game, first by whistling for a penalty kick that never happened, then allowing Timbers second goal that seemed to me a clear offside, and finally ejecting Thierry Henry for a greeting to a Timbers' player that seemed to him to bit too aggressive. At the end, a penalty kick due to a hand ball in the box allowed NYRB to get the draw in stoppage time. The partial results where: First half (NYRB 1,PT 0); second half (1,0), (1,1), (1,2), (1,3), (2,3), (3,3). New York fans only expect a win against the Sounders on Thursday.
